சாமுத்ரிகா லட்சணம் என்பது மிக சிறப்பான ஒன்று. அதாவது அங்க அடையாளங்கள் என்று சொல்லலாம். அங்கங்களின் அமைப்பு. இதில் பிரதானமாக அமைவது மூக்கும், கண்களும்தான். கண்களுக்கு மட்டுமே 100 முதல் 120 குறிப்புகள் சாமுத்ரிகா லட்சணத்தில் சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது.
